A standard installation for an IMU-108-30 IP68 30m depth rated unit would involve the IMU-108 mounted on the Sonar for the ideal motion compensation.

For an IMU-108 IP66 surface unit the recommendation is either directly above the Sonar Mount on the vessel or at the Center of Gravity for the vessel.

The IMU-108 is optimised for the marine environments and is compatible with multiple systems and processing packages.
